Selo, a leading mechanical engineering/trading company in transition to a project-based organization, is looking for an experienced manager to restructure and professionally lead our financial administration. This is your opportunity to play a key role in the development of our financial accounting and control processes.
What will you do as a Financial Manager?
As Finance Manager at Selo, you will lead a dynamic team of four employees with a no-nonsense culture where initiative and openness are valued, and you will be responsible for streamlining our financial accounting and control activities. You will be busy (re)designing our finance and accounting processes, with a specific focus on integrating our new ERP package, Ridder IQ. Currently Ridder IQ is not yet interfaced with Exact Globe, so your expertise will be crucial to make this integration go smoothly. You will act as the primary point of contact for external auditors and other stakeholders and will be engaged in identifying, mapping and minimizing financial risks. You will report directly to the CFO. Another important aspect of this role is the transformation to an English-speaking administration. Your proficiency in both Dutch and English will be invaluable here.
Duties and responsibilities
- (Re)designing the finance and accounting processes, especially focused on integrating our new ERP package Ridder IQ and setting up project control systems; Ridder IQ is currently not interfaced with Exact Globe.
- Automating financial processes in a project-driven organization to maximize efficiency and ensure accuracy, including project control, work in progress and reporting based on revenue recognition.
- Provide monthly, quarterly and year-end audits and serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors and other stakeholders.
- Identifying, identifying and minimizing financial risks.
- Establish operational audit related activities and processes.
- Transforming the Dutch-language to English-language administration.

Your profile
You work independently and seek cooperation between different departments within Selo where necessary. You have a natural drive to keep up-to-date with all the necessary competencies, knowledge, skills, experience, motivation and proactivity to perform your job as effectively and efficiently as possible.
To be successful in this role, you will bring the following baggage:
- An HBO, Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Business Economics, Accountancy or similar (Hovam or SPD); RA, RC or RO is a plus;
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in similar financial roles, preferably as a Financial Controller or Finance Manager in a small - mid-sized
- Experience with consolidation and ICT-related projects, such as ERP implementations.
- Analytical thinking skills and a clear vision of financial processes.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with the CFO and other key stakeholders.
- Hands-on, energy & focus, determined, persuasive, attention to detail, flexible and disciplined.
- Good command of Dutch and English; German is a plus.
