For our Supply Chain department, we are looking for a procurement professional. Pragmatic, analytical, critical and with social skills!
WHAT WILL YOU DO AS A BUYER
As a Purchaser within the Selo Food Group in Hengelo, you are responsible for carrying out and further professionalizing the purchasing activities within the organization. You are a strategic partner for your internal Food and Petfood colleagues in the concretization of needs. You work on a project basis and in close cooperation with the sales, project management, engineering, service and assembly departments. You make agreements with suppliers to receive parts and services at the desired price and quality at the most favorable terms and conditions. You maintain contact with suppliers, are responsible for placing orders and monitor delivery times. In addition, you establish framework contracts and oversee compliance. You look critically at current and potential suppliers, analyze delivery terms and conduct negotiations.
Selo is in the midst of optimizing systems and processes and further professionalizing its operations. This includes the Supply Chain department, which this position falls under. It's up to you to actively contribute ideas and be part of project teams in order to shape the Selo of the future.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Implement, manage and professionalize the ordering process within Selo in Hengelo
- Ordering standard parts, materials or services from established suppliers. Not standard? Then the specification is provided by the relevant department and you lead the procurement process and adjust where necessary
- Ensuring correct price and delivery time of product in the ERP system
- Updating and continuously updating procurement price lists, ensuring proper prioritization of supplier
- Negotiate with suppliers on purchasing terms, quality issues and follow up on orders
- Consult periodically with project teams on project progress and take action on shortfalls
- Oversee supplier reliability and KPIs and their interpretation
- Advise management on strategic choices related to the procurement process
- Participation in projects and improvement issues within the organization
- You will report directly to the Manager of Supply Chain

Your profile
- A completed college education, preferably in the direction of Technical Business Administration, Mechanical Engineering, Commercial Economics, Facility Management or Logistics
- Additional training such as Nevi 1 or Nevi 2 is a plus
- Several years of experience as a Purchaser, preferably in a technical or industrial environment
- An enthusiastic personality, with technical affinity, who communicates easily at all levels within the organization
- Good command of the Dutch and English languages in word and writing
- Type: Pragmatic, analytical, critical and socially adept
